Your November 2024 MAP Beer-oscope

Nov 15, 2024
4 min read

Listen, we're not astrologists. We're not experts in the stars, we can't see the future, and we're not trying to tell you how to live your life. But if we could see the future, this is what we'd imagine is in store for you this month:

Aries: We see that adventurous, energetic side of you, Aries, and this November you should definitely lean in to your playful side. Think outside of the box this month, maybe a pickleball date at Bozeman’s new indoor pickleball courts and Noise Complaint Dill Pickle Sour Beer afterwards.

Taurus: We know you’re incredibly warm-hearted and loving, Taurus, but November might mean giving some relationships in your life a little more attention. Pop into MAP with your SO on a quiet Sunday night, snag a booth for the two of you, and put the phones away while you sip Bavarian Velvet Munich Dunkel and have a heart-to-heart.

Gemini: We know you thrive on your wit and intelligence, Gemini, and this is the month to use that to expand your social circle. Maybe it’s time to organize that office happy hour with your team, or invite your crossfit class to grab a beer after your workout. Stick to an easy-drinking happy hour beer, like the Al Dente Italian Pils.

Cancer: We see that intuitive and imaginative side of you, Cancer, but this month you may feel like you’re struggling to find the discipline and focus to make progress on your goals. Sometimes a little time outside can be grounding, so we think a brisk fall stroll will help center you. Try the Galagator trail and up Peets Hill, or even Drinking Horse if you’re feeling like a little more of a hike. Then pop by our taproom for our Patagonia Provisions Kernza Lager paired with some sunset views of the Bridgers.

Leo: You’re so generous and enthusiastic, Leo, but you’ve been overextending yourself lately. This month, focus on your home and family life a little more: a night in including some to-go burgers from MAP and a 6-pack of our 80 Chain Oatmeal Stout will go a long way to slow down a bit and focus on those closest to you.

Virgo: We know that analytical and practical side of you has been dominant lately, Virgo, and you’ve been spending a lot of time reflecting, leaving you in your head a lot. We’d suggest just letting it all go for a night - find a friend or two and plan an evening out. Grab a burrito and a MAP Dusty Sunshine Hefe at SHINE Beer Sanctuary before hitting a show at the Filling Station or The Elm.

Libra: You’ve been busy lately, Libra, and your easygoing and sociable side is being tested a bit. Slow down a bit to avoid getting overwhelmed. A little solo time could do you some good - take the pup over to Snowfill after work and then come to MAP, sit at the bar, and slowly sip a complex beer like our Ginger Plum Sake Lager.

Scorpio: We know how determined and passionate you are, Scorpio, and so far, November has brought some kind of change or new beginning for you, hasn’t it? It might be outside the norm for you, but for the rest of the month, continue to focus on embracing what’s new. When you come to MAP, forget your usual order… grab a flight this time and try four beers you’ve never had. We’d recommend: James the Giant Hazy IPA, Buzzed Hippy Coffee Kölsch, Small Axe Belgian Blond, and the Forager Juniper Saison.

Sagittarius: You’re such an optimist, Sagittarius, and your good-humor about everything in life is shining right now. Lean in to adventure, either by yourself or with a significant other. This time of year, you can often find Forest Service cabins available in the middle of the week on short notice. Call in sick from work, fill a growler full of Soul Charger Scotch Ale, and head to the mountains on a random Tuesday. Just make sure your boss doesn’t follow you when you post pics on Instagram.

Capricorn: We know you’re usually pretty practical and disciplined, but you’ve had an exciting month so far, haven’t you, Capricorn? The second half of the month calls for a little celebratory indulgence. Come into MAP with some friends or family, and get something fun, like a Peach Cobbler Sour or The Stuff Marshmallow Chocolate Porter.

Aquarius: You’re so honest and loyal, Aquarius, and November calls for continuing to be the steady force you are. Be purposeful with your time and mental load, don’t commit to too much as you head into the holiday season. This month, stick with routine and the things you love. Let us guess, that includes a Friday night fried-chicken sandwich at MAP and a pint of Midas Crush?

Pisces: We see how selfless and sympathetic you are, Pisces, and you’ve been giving a lot to others this month. It’s time to think about what’s next for you and plan your winter adventures. Opening Day at Big Sky is right around the corner - go get those first turns of the season, followed by a taste of MAP’s new Big Sky beer - the M8 Mountain Lager.

Good luck with the rest of your November, MAP friends. We'll see you soon to fulfill your destiny, right?

The Beer-oscope is a creative way to make a brewery update feel personal, playful, and seasonal. I enjoyed how each sign connects personality traits with different beers, local activities, and simple ideas for enjoying November. I recently came across bcbug.com while reading another review-focused discussion, and it offered an interesting perspective on how engaging writing can make local content memorable.

Milk frothing features can expand the range of beverages prepared with a coffee machine. A steam wand or automatic milk system can create the texture needed for drinks such as cappuccinos and lattes. Learning to froth milk correctly involves controlling temperature, air incorporation, and texture. Automatic systems simplify the process for beginners, while manual steam wands offer greater control to experienced users. Whichever option is chosen, milk components should be cleaned carefully to prevent coffeewarehouse residue from accumulating.
